I received my 3 channel h'phones on Friday, thanks for the quick service.
I had my first chance to use them properly today and am amazed at the speed
and accuracy of the transmission of the signal. There was absolutely no time lag at all
and pin-pointing was spot on. Well worth the money and I'd recommend them to anyone
looking for cord free headphones.

David, So, the
story goes... I received my 3 channel unit and
had to wait a few days before I could go out and
test it, due to university studies. Anyhoo, come
the weekend, I was out on my usual site with
'old faithful' (XLT Spectrum), my new wireless
unit deployed and ready for action.
The first thing I
noticed about the unit was the FREEDOM it gives
you - no getting tangled up in headphone wires.
Fantastic, especially when you consider that
Whites do not provide a wireless unit for the
XLT. If I wanted one from Whites, I would have
had to spend over a £1000 to upgrade to a new
model - not what I had in mind. That's not a dig
at Whites - I have nothing but respect for them.
The sound quality is
'deeper' (that's the best way I can describe it)
than my usual wired set-up. Signals 'jump' at
you. Another bonus.
Anyway, I was quietly
'swinging' away when I got a signal - nice and
clear, which told me to 'dig'. So I did. Now,
you have to keep in mind that I have been on
this site for quite a few years. It's been a
great site, nay, a fantastic site, for me but I
thought that maybe it was giving up the ghost a
little. I dug down, perhaps 6", and checked the
hole. Nothing. Checked the dug out soil. BINGO!
I isolated the signal to a lump of soil.
Carefully, I broke the clod in half and
immediately could see that I was looking at
something which had been on my 'bucket list' (if
you are familiar with that term, you will20know
what I mean). A medieval heraldic horse pendant,
with traces of red enamel and a distinct
pattern. Well I never! First time out with the
new set-up and 'there she blows.'
Thanks for the great
service and unit, David. Just one question - why
are you guys not better known? There's no point
in hiding your light under a bushel.

Hi David,
Received earphones safely, tried them out
yesterday, didn't find anything of value but
earphones were, as usual, up to the high
standards I have come to expect from you,
Thank you very much,

| First find was
a very near perfect medieval hawking
bell. The 705 is giving noticably deeper
signals than previous x-terra,retrieved
a 1960 scottish shilling from 10 inches
with only a very slightly iffy
signal.Living in Cornwall there is an
awfull lot of mine waste everywhere but
the 705 behaved brilliantly,Very
happy.Regards Ashley Walker. |

"Hello David, first I'd tell you how much I like
the wireless headphones I
bought from you in April. My ex son-in-law saw
them and will get the
same."

Dear David,
We were out again yesterday. I switched on at ten am and then off at 2-30 pm
when the snow got too bad. I started to get the bleeps at around 1-30 but I am sure
I could have carried on much longer.
Thanks once again for all the trouble you have gone to - one very satisfied customer.
I will return the excess items on my next trip to the post-office.

Hi David
Just a short note,
Went out with this transmitter using ETRAC detector ,,, ( Superb ) found with a very
clear signal a very rare Silver unit , Photo of which I will send shortly, and its identified
as being an ESSEX SERPENT type silver unit one of only four known now, 1 each found in
Essex, herts, Cambs, and now Bucks.
Update: The British Museums chief Iron Age coins expert [Ian Leins] has added his
comments:
"Type is referred to as an Essex Serpent, it is a rare unpublished type of
the Eastern (Hobbs 'Northern') region - three provenanced examples, one each
from CAMS, HERTS and ESSEX. c. 60-20 BC.
One was sold in 2006 for £1750."
That's all the details I have David, stay in touch,

| Dear
David,
What a joy to be hands
free. I have had two outings in the last week, I didn't find much, but it was a pleasure being hands free and with no
need to change batteries. The Kit worked very well ,the tones were crisp and
clear. The transmitter linked with the headphones almost
immediately. What more can I say other than a great piece of kit.

| Dear David,
You may recall about one year ago I contacted you with regard to
some of the finds I had made since using your cordless headphones.
The NCMD has annual competitions for best coin,
best artefact, and best hoard finds of the year.
The trophy awarded for each competition is named the "Robin & Karolyn Hatt Memorial Trophy".
Thought you would like to be informed that I have won the Best Hoard Trophy for 2007 while using your headphones.
Beating english and welsh detectorists and others in this competition has pleased me greatly.
It seems that this will become the first NCMD trophy ever won by a scottish detectorist which is really something.
The bronze age hoard was found near Kinnesswood by Loch
Leven.
Many thanks once again David for providing such a wonderful innovation.
Kindest Regards

| David,
I found this Axe with my Minelab Explorer Two using the Blue Tooth cordless headphones purchased from yourself.
Great stuff: I will never go back to corded.

| Hi David,
Having purchased a set of wireless phones a few weeks ago I have had
the chance to use them a couple of times and I only wish that they were around
when I first started detecting many years ago! I find them excellent and I
don't use any others now.
Many thanks

| Dear David,
The multi
channel radio adaptor is the one that I use. Please feel free to use my letter in your advertising.
All metal detectorists should be made aware of how good these headphones are. Best wishes to you David.

| Thank
you for upgrading my wireless headphones they
work wonderfully on my C Scope 1220 R.
Last
Sundays dig - a silver sixpence, Copper Alloy
Ring with the markings lXl and the usual bits of
lead and buttons. We also use - Garret 1500 -
found - a silver brooch which is now in the
British Museum several coins and artifacts.
Explorer XS - " a silver medalion, long
cross coins and various others.
Using these headsets have been a boon as we now
have freedom to dig with out being entangled in
endless wire.

I
am not going to ramble on about the benefit of
cordless headphones. All I can say that once
you have experienced the freedom and benefits,
you will be converted. I can honestly say that
you will not entertain headphones with a lead
again.
The beauty about Highland Innovation’s
Headphones is that they can be applied to any
metal detector with a standard jack plug and
for smaller size jack plug hole like the
Minelab an adapter is supplied. I think the
most important asset is that the machines do
not have to be opened up and have a chip
fitted to operate the headphones like some
others.
The cost is also about 40% cheaper than the
latter ones. The headphones are also of a
better quality and do not have the foam ear
covers that wear out or get lost. The volume
can be adjusted and the tuning button is on
the side of the headphone (as with other
makes). The only 1 advantage of the XP
headphones is that you can not use your own
headphones in conjunction with them. I.e. with
the XP headphones a section can be detached
and the jack plug of another set of headphones
can be plugged into it.
When
I tried Highland Innovation Cordless in the
field, I found them to be a lot clearer and
sharper than other models that I had tried. And
definitely more robust as not previously
mentioned. So all in all save yourself lots of
dosh and you don’t have to send your machine
away to be tampered with. Highland Innovation
Cordless Headphones are a must.

Sunday,
May 1st. 2005 - Fruit Farm nr. Halstead, Essex.
Metal
Detector - Whites XLT 1.1 Spectrum Headphone Set
- Highland innovations - 3 Channel Wireless
Detector Program - Bob Baileys 'Basic 1' Anyone
that knows Bob Baileys 'Basic 1' program, will
also know all about the different sounds it
gives as well, this is the main reason I chose
this program. For those that do not know about
this program and the XLT, then it can be
compared with the Explorer I & II, it has
the sounds of a 'Clanger' (childrens program) in
serious pain, if you don't know what a 'Clanger'
is, ask mum and dad..... Anyway, it was a fine
sunny day and I walked down to the furthest away
field, didn't want to be disturbed, and plugged
the Wireless Transmitter into the XLT; this must
be done without any box cover on, as the brass
eyelet prevents the transmitter unit from being
fully inserted . Checked that the Headphones
Volume control was down low, then switched the
Transmitter on, then the Headphones. Tuning them
into the Transmitter was extremely simple to do,
and I am pleased to say that there was NO
background hisses, hums or crackles. This was
especially good, as I was underneath Electric
Pylon Cables which go the whole length of this
field. The only thing that was effected by
these, was the XLT, there was no interference to
the Wireless Units. Switched the XLT on, and in
the time it took the Program to sound the usual
start up Ding Dong, I had the Volume set at a
good level. The first thing I noticed was a
difference in the overall sound, it appeared to
be slightly muffled, so was nicely surprised
when I tested it over a coin I bought with me,
and the Good, Solid Beep sounded out, next a
piece of Iron, very good Phut! noise which
seemed to be filtered, which was very pleasant.
So far, it appeared that this Wireless setup was
going to be very good. Set off detecting, and
straight away I noticed the difference, all
those usual blips,phuts,whistles and general
'clanger' noises were being muffled, which was
very nice indeed, then suddenly a resounding
Solid BLEEP!, can't be mistaken, anybody with an
XLT will know what I am talking about, Switched
to Pinpoint, and found this sound was also clear &
solid, got the location and recovered a very
good conditioned 1920 George Silver 3d,
from around 4 inches.........a little further
along and again the unmistakeable solid BLEEP!,
this time a new 5p, only about 1"
down........next item was Bronze, again the
Clear Solid Bleep!, this time around 6"
deep, as yet this find has not been fully
identified, but suggestions are leaning towards
a Griffin's Head, possible the end of a knife
handle, I will let you know what it turns out to
be. I continued to detect for the rest of the
morning and found the usual suspects, buttons,
shotgun cartridges, lumps of lead and the odd
rusty nail...lol..Altogether a good days
detecting, and a good test for this Wireless
System, which passed with flying colours. I
found the Wireless Headphones, to be
Comfortable, Light and easy to operate, and
they did their job brilliantly. The Transmitter
unit is a nice size and has no weight to it at
all, plugged into the XLT, I didn't even know it
was there. A few of things I liked with
this unit was the Off/On switch, a good easily
operated toggle type, as is the Channel Selector
switch, the Red LCD Power Light, and the fact
that it is an easy to plug in Rechargeable Unit.
Overall Transmitter Design = 10/10 Overall
Headphone Design = 9/10 Overall Ease of Use =
10/10 Overall Performance = 10/10 I would
recommend this Wireless System to anybody. It is
such a relief not having my ears yanked off
everytime I have to put the detector down to dig
for something, the freedom is something else, I
could not go back to wired headphones again.
Many thanks for all the help and support. Best
Regards
Cliff
PS. Looking
forward to the information on the other units? |
I
shall definitely recommend them to my fellow
club members. It's a
great piece of kit,and I'm impressed!

| Dear
Sirs,
Yesterday
was a dreadful day. Through circumstances beyond
my control I had to use corded headphones. What
a disaster, my head was constantly being tugged
by the cord, I couldn't dig properly and it
didn't feel right. I think your product really
does make detecting a pleasure. Thank you again.

I
am so pleased with my purchase of cordless
headphones that I am ordering a kit for my son.
I can only compare the freedom you get with
cordless headphones as with the use of a
cordless phone and we all know how convenient
they are… Thanks again for such a great
product I will promote it at our meetings and
rallys.

First
of all apologies for the rather late e-mail,
I've had other commitments that have prevented
me from metal detecting. I received my
cordless phones in excellent order and used
them with two machines, a MINELAB MUSKETEER
and a MINELAB QUATTRO. On the MUSKETEER the
signal was very good well modulated and the
freedom from the cord was a great advantage.
On the QAUTTRO the signal was quieter either
the different impedance was the cause or the
QUATTRO has a lower output. In any case the
signal was perfectly audible and again the
freedom from the cord was a great advantage. In
short David I liked using the cordless phones
and I am sure they will help improve my
detecting without that bloody cord getting in
the way. My most valuable find of the day was
a rather discoloured Pound coin. The rest other
finds were the usual mixture of ring pulls,
screw caps and assorted bits of foil. By
getting rid of this rubbish I hope I'm doing
my bit for the environment. This is an
excellent product David I am very pleased with
my cordless headphones.
